New Book Display: Celebrating Women in STEM

womeninstem.png

We have a new book display celebrating women in STEM, with a special focus on women of color in STEM, sponsored by Library's Dean's Action Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.

Women have been in STEM fields since the beginning (the term "scientist" was coined for mathematician and astronomer Mary Somerville in 1834!) but their contributions have often been overlooked.

Check out this book display on Mudd 2, near the Main Services Desk. All of them are available for checkout, so stop by and grab one that interests you to learn more about the long history of women in science.
